Al-Tameemi, Ahmed, MD.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Tameemi brings a strong commitment to evidence-based medicine and patient care. He completed his internal medicine residency at UNLV after earning his MBChB from Al-Mustansiriyah University in Iraq. Bilingual in English and Arabic, Dr. Al-Tameemi is ABIM-certified and has extensive volunteer experience, including providing care to underserved populations. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, mentoring medical trainees, and fostering multicultural connections in healthcare.

Asif, Zeeshan, MD.

Dr. Zeeshan Asif is an accomplished hospitalist with a focus on quality improvement and clinical research. A graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, he completed his residency at the Mountain View Sunrise Internal Medicine program. His research on IgA vasculitis earned top honors at HCA presentations, and he has contributed to initiatives aimed at reducing inpatient falls and optimizing care for chronic cellulitis. Fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi, Dr. Asif enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with his family.

Bhullar, Ruby, MD.

Dr. Ruby Bhullar is an experienced physician with expertise in hospital and family medicine. She completed her family medicine residency at East Jefferson General Hospital/Tulane School of Medicine and holds board certification from the American Board of Family Medicine. With years of hospitalist experience across various Las Vegas healthcare systems, Dr. Bhullar excels in managing acute medical conditions. Her background also includes outpatient care, social services coordination, and leadership roles in multidisciplinary care teams. Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, Dr. Bhullar brings cultural sensitivity and a personalized approach to patient care.

Campana, Mary Charmaine E, MD.

Flores, Tammera, MD.

Tammera Flores is a dynamic internal medicine residency graduate at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine, where she has been recognized for her service distinction. A graduate of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, Tammera also holds a B.S. in Physiological Science with a minor in Film and Theater from UCLA. Her advocacy and community engagement are highlighted by her publications and speaking engagements, including interactions with Nevada’s elected officials. In her free time, Tammera enjoys exploring the interplay between medicine and media, which reflects her minor in film and theater.

Golden, Shivani, MD. (prev Chopra)

Dr. Shivani Golden is a double board-certified Geriatrician who completed her Geriatrics & Administrative Fellowship at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she was named Chief Quality Fellow. Following her fellowship, she served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Hospital and was the Quality Director for a 500+ bed skilled nursing facility. She led various initiatives in this role, including coordinating the COVID treatment response during the 2021 wave of the pandemic, when anti-COVID treatments were scarce. Due to her efforts, nearly 100 patients received life-sustaining treatment that helped prevent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID. She is currently a nursing home Medical Director and full-time physician in Rehabilitation centers. She is a yearly guest speaker at national Post-Acute and Long Term Care conferences, where she lectures on the subject of Medical Director contracts with legal counsel. She is a firm believer in evidence based medicine as well as a patient-centered, holistic approach to care where the needs and desires of her patients come first. She is deeply passionate about nursing homes and strives to bring her knowledge and experience from her work in New York to Las Vegas.

Golden, Daniel, MD.

Dr. Daniel Golden is an attending physician and associate director of quality and patient safety at Valley Health System’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He has held these positions since July 2022. He also worked as a clinical research manager and firefighter in New York. Dr. Golden completed his residency at New York-Presbyterian Cornell & Columbia University Hospitals and has a Doctor of Medicine degree. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Outstanding Citizenship Award and the Quality Improvement Champion. Dr. Golden is a member of the MCIC Leadership Committee and the Weill Cornell Emergency Department Quality & Patient Safety Committee. He has also been involved in several quality improvement initiatives.

Gubler, Jason Tyler, DO.

Dr. Gubler is a family medicine physician who has been practicing medicine since 2015. He completed his medical training at Touro University-Nevada and his residency at Chino Valley Medical Center. Dr. Gubler is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is also fluent in Spanish. In his spare time, Dr. Gubler enjoys volunteering at the Montclair Indigent Clinic, where he provides medical care for the indigent community.

Huynh, Kovin, DO.

Dr. Kovin Huynh is a board-certified internal medicine physician practicing as a hospitalist in Las Vegas, Nevada. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathy degree from Touro University Nevada and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Since 2018, Dr. Huynh has been part of Platinum Hospitalists and he is actively involved in hospital leadership, serving on the Practitioner Performance Improvement and Utilization Review Committees. Dr. Huynh’s published work includes an article on Glucagon-Like Peptide-1 Receptor Agonists for Type 2 Diabetes in American Health & Drug Benefits.

Lumbres, Madel, MD.

Dr. Madel Lumbres completed her medical training at University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines where she graduated Cum Laude. She then completed her Internal Medicine Residency Training at New York Downtown Hospital in New York City and Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked as a Hospitalist Physician at University of Florida Health in Jacksonville, Florida before moving to Las Vegas in 2015. Dr Lumbres has worked in several hospitals in the Las Vegas Valley including Dignity Health St Rose Siena, San Martin and De Lima Campuses, Spring Valley Hospital, Desert Springs Hospital, as well as post-acute facilities such as Valley Health Specialty Hospital and Advanced Healthcare of Henderson. During her free time, Dr Lumbres enjoys traveling and exploring different cuisines with her family and friends.

Mahgerefteh, Babak, DO.

Dr. Babak Mahgerefteh is an internal medicine physician with over 13 years of experience. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency and internship at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Mahgerefteh has been board-certified in internal medicine since 2014. He served as an associate program director at Valley Hospital residency program for one year. He has been working with Platinum since 2014, including six years while battling cancer. Dr. Mahgerefteh has conducted research on new drug therapies for obesity, therapeutic hypothermia, and multimodal magnetic resonance imaging.

Wendy, Mojica, DO.

Originally hailing from California, I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1999, where I pursued my passion for medicine. I earned my degree from Touro Medical School and completed my residency at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. As an internal medicine physician, I’ve spent over a decade dedicated to patient care, primarily as a hospitalist and in post-acute settings.What I find most rewarding in medicine is the opportunity to educate patients and their families, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health. Outside of my professional life, I cherish quality time with my husband, our two wonderful children, and our beloved cat. In my downtime, I’m an avid reader of mysteries and have a deep appreciation for diverse genres of music.

Nasiri, Amir, MD.

Dr. Amir Nasiri completed his internal medicine residency at Mountain View Hospital. His medical education at St. George’s University equipped him with extensive clinical experience, which he has applied in various medical settings, including skilled nursing facilities. Dr. Nasiri has a notable history of overcoming personal and professional challenges, demonstrating resilience and dedication to his medical career.

Nguyen, Anthony, DO.

Dr. Anthony Nguyen specializes in Internal Medicine and is board-certified in his field. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from VCOM-Auburn and residency training at Valley Hospital and brings five years of clinical experience to his role as a hospitalist. In his personal time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing badminton.

Paulino, Robert, MD.

Dr. Robert J. Paulino, M.D., is an accomplished internal medicine and palliative care physician with extensive experience in hospital and hospice settings. He obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines and completed his internal medicine residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, followed by a palliative and hospice medicine fellowship at the VA GRECC affiliated with Mount Sinai. Dr. Paulino provides comprehensive medical care across a variety of settings, the majority of which are at skilled nursing facilities. He has also played a significant role in establishing and directing several home hospice programs, demonstrating his commitment to enhancing end-of-life care through thoughtful leadership and clinical expertise.

Qazi, Fozia R, MD.

Dr. Fozia R. Qazi brings a rich blend of expertise in internal medicine and nuclear medicine to her role as a hospitalist with Platinum. Dr. Qazi completed her medical education at Allama Iqbal Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan, and went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at Mountain View Hospital’s GME program in Las Vegas. Additionally, she is board certified in nuclear medicine, having completed further training in this specialty at Saint Louis University. Dr. Qazi has actively contributed to the field of nuclear medicine through research presented at national conferences and is recognized for her work on metabolic activity detection using FDG-PET/CT. Her medical practice is enhanced by her dedication to patient care and her strong clinical background.

Raroque, Sabrina, MD.

Dr. Sabrina Raroque is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with experience as a hospitalist and clinical associate. She earned her medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine, having been accepted into the prestigious INTARMED (Integrated Arts and Medicine) program. This highly selective program is known for its rigorous academic standards and serves as a strong foundation for a career in medicine. Dr. Raroque completed her residency at Case Western Reserve University/St. Vincent Charity Medical Center. She has held positions at various healthcare institutions and has been involved in research, with publications and presentations on topics such as glycemic control and hypothyroidism-induced rhabdomyolysis. Roa, Robert, MD.

Ramos Jr, Eduardo, MD.

He has worked as a hospitalist at various hospitals in Nevada, New Jersey, and Florida. Dr. Ramos has also served as a consultant for the Neuro-Cognitive Institute in New Jersey. Sandhu, Rewa MD, MPH.

Dr. Rewa Sandhu combines her passion for public health and internal medicine to enhance patient care and community health. After completing her medical degree at the American University of Antigua, she pursued a Master’s in Public Health at Walden University and an internal medicine residency at HCA Healthcare/USF Morsani College of Medicine. Dr. Sandhu has contributed to various quality improvement projects focusing on smoking cessation and influenza education. Her commitment to wellness extends beyond her professional duties, as evidenced by her role in founding the Resident Wellness Committee.

Saqib, Iqra, DO.

Dr. Saqib is a hospitalist who completed her medical training at Western University of Health Sciences. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She has previous experience as a pharmacy technician and a research assistant. She has also been involved in community service, volunteering at the Volunteers of America Homeless Shelter and Project Smile Battered Women’s Homeless Shelter. In her free time, she enjoys painting, sculpting, baking, sewing, and exercising.

Shoho, Angela, MD.

Dr. Shoho is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in private practice and hospital settings. She earned her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine, College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Shoho is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. Sheikh, Sameer Ijaz, MD.

Dr. Sheikh is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital medicine. He earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. He has worked as a hospitalist at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 15 years. Dr. Sheikh also has experience in community medicine and healthcare. He previously worked as a technical consultant for Phenomenex Inc., where he consulted marketing and sales staff on technical parameters of pharmaceutical/synthetic protein method development. Dr. Sheikh also served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Biology at UCSD, where he lectured biology classes and conducted review lectures.
