Golden, Daniel MD

Dr. Daniel Golden is an attending physician and associate director of quality and patient safety at Valley Health System’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He has held these positions since July 2022. He also worked as a clinical research manager and firefighter in New York. Dr. Golden completed his residency at New York-Presbyterian Cornell & Columbia University Hospitals and has a Doctor of Medicine degree. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Outstanding Citizenship Award and the Quality Improvement Champion. Dr. Golden is a member of the MCIC Leadership Committee and the Weill Cornell Emergency Department Quality & Patient Safety Committee. He has also been involved in several quality improvement initiatives.

Iskender, Sarel DO

Dr. Sarel Iskender was the Chief Resident at Valley Hospital Medical Center during her residency program, where she has made significant contributions to the internal medicine program. Educated at Touro University Nevada, Dr. Iskender has a background in cellular biology from California State University Northridge. She is fluent in Armenian and moderately fluent in sign language, enhancing her ability to connect with a diverse patient base. Her leadership extends beyond the hospital as she actively participates in various professional organizations, underscoring her commitment to the medical field.

Razaq, Momina MD

Dr. Momina Razaq is an experienced hospitalist who has worked with multiple hospital groups in Las Vegas and Kentucky. She completed her internal medicine residency at Loma Linda Medical Center and has been a part of the Platinum Hospitalist Group since 2015. Dr. Razaq’s clinical expertise is backed by her active involvement in research, including projects aimed at improving blood sugar control in diabetic patients. Fazlinejad, Aria DO

After completing his DO at Western University of Health Sciences, Aria refined his skills in internal medicine at Beaumont Hospital. Having joined the team in January 2022, she is renowned for her comprehensive approach to patient care. She earned her M.D. from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, where she also completed her undergraduate studies with a B.S. in Human Biology and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Reed’s medical career is marked by a deep commitment to family medicine, having served in various capacities including teaching faculty at The Valley Health System Family Medicine Residency. Khalili, Leila MD

Dr. Leila Khalili earned her medical degree from Tehran University in Iran and brings over 15 years of experience in Internal Medicine. She completed her residency at Mountain View Hospital and remains dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Outside of work, Dr. Khalili enjoys cooking and practicing yoga.

Broyles, Jesse E DO

Dr. Jesse Broyles is an internal medicine physician who completed his residency and internship at Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas. A graduate of Touro University Nevada, where he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and a Master of Health Science, Dr. Broyles has a diverse background in patient care, research, and quality improvement. Lo, Bonnie, DO

Dr. Bonnie Lo is a board certified Internist, whose unique blend of scientific rigor and artistic appreciation shapes her approach to medicine. After earning dual degrees in Biological Sciences and Art History from the University of California, Irvine, she briefly went into teaching before she decided to go into medicine. She received her medical degree at Touro University, Nevada. Dr. Lo has been actively involved in medical research and was a Nevada ACP poster finalist in 2015, earning a reward to present nationally. Her primary focuses are patient education, preventative care, and graduate medical education. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, kayaking, and the arts.

Moreno, Luis Armando MD

Dr. Luis Armando Moreno is a product of Valley Health System Family Medicine Residency Program, brings a rich background in family and internal medicine from Nicaragua. After earning his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua, Dr. Moreno has been involved in various projects aimed at improving patient care and community health, particularly in under-resourced areas. His work includes developing maternal homes to decrease mortality and malnutrition and implementing quality improvement projects in Southern Nevada.

Ortolano, Daniel MD

Dr. Daniel Ortolano is a board-certified internal medicine physician with experience as a hospitalist and internal medicine residency core faculty member. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ortolano has contributed to research in cardiology and rheumatology, presenting his work at multiple conferences. With a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Dr. Ortolano is dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Outside of medicine, he enjoys volunteering and exploring new outdoor activities.

Yang, Zongqi MD, PhD

Dr. Zongqi Yang, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, brings over 20 years of clinical experience to his practice. A graduate of Hebei Medical University in China, Dr. Yang has been recognized for his exceptional patient care, earning the prestigious Physician MVP award twice in 2019 at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas. Dr. Khuong Lam is a board-certified internal medicine physician who earned his medical degree from Touro University Nevada and completed his residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he has practiced since 2017. Dr. Dozie Oparaugo has completed his internal medicine recidency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he has gained extensive experience in treating complex clinical pathologies. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with dual degrees in Osteopathic Medicine and Public Health. Gubler, Jason Tyler DO

Dr. Gubler is a family medicine physician who has been practicing medicine since 2015. He completed his medical training at Touro University-Nevada and his residency at Chino Valley Medical Center. Dr. Gubler is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the Society of Hospital Medicine, and the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians. He is also fluent in Spanish. Anna Wern has over 31 years of experience in healthcare and currently serves as a nurse practitioner specializing in Endocrinology alongside Dr. Tarar at Platinum Continuity and Specialty Clinic. She earned her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, graduating as a national board topnotcher, and later completed her Master of Nursing in Family Practice with honors from Chamberlain University in 2017. Nerissa Torio is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with six years of experience and over a decade of progressive healthcare involvement. She began her career as a caregiver in an assisted living facility and later worked as a medical assistant while completing her associate degree in Nursing at the College of Southern Nevada. He began his career as a Cavalry Scout in the Nevada Army National Guard before transitioning to nursing. Dr. Zeshan Mudasir is a distinguished neurologist with an extensive background in both chiropractic and osteopathic medicine. After earning a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic and a Doctor of Osteopathy from Touro University Nevada, Dr. Mudasir completed his neurology residency at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, where he also served as Chief Resident. His deep commitment to neurology is evidenced by his numerous lectures on topics ranging from stroke management to neuro-oncology. Dr. Mudasir is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Osteopathic Association. Golden, Shivani MD (prev Chopra)

Dr. Shivani Golden is a double board-certified Geriatrician who completed her Geriatrics & Administrative Fellowship at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she was named Chief Quality Fellow. Following her fellowship, she served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Hospital and was the Quality Director for a 500+ bed skilled nursing facility. She led various initiatives in this role, including coordinating the COVID treatment response during the 2021 wave of the pandemic, when anti-COVID treatments were scarce. Due to her efforts, nearly 100 patients received life-sustaining treatment that helped prevent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID. She is currently a nursing home Medical Director and full-time physician in Rehabilitation centers. She is a yearly guest speaker at national Post-Acute and Long Term Care conferences, where she lectures on the subject of Medical Director contracts with legal counsel. She is a firm believer in evidence based medicine as well as a patient-centered, holistic approach to care where the needs and desires of her patients come first. She is deeply passionate about nursing homes and strives to bring her knowledge and experience from her work in New York to Las Vegas.
