After earning her medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines, she completed her residency at the University of Illinois, Chicago. Her leadership extends to roles such as Physician Advisor at Centennial Hills Hospital and Utilization Director at Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital. Dr. Luperte is deeply committed to clinical documentation improvement and has been an active member of several medical committees, significantly impacting patient safety and medical staff performance.
Dr. Ma is a board-certified internist who completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mountain View Hospital in Las Vegas and medical school at Touro University Nevada. Dr. Ma is fluent in English and Mandarin. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, cooking, and traveling with his wife.
Being one of the Managing Partners of Platinum Hospitalists, Dr. Mir Asad Majeed has an extensive background in internal medicine, with a significant part of his career dedicated to hospital medicine across various healthcare facilities in Las Vegas. After earning his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan, he completed his residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Majeed is also deeply involved in the medical community, having held a clinical assistant professorship at Southern Illinois University and actively participating in the development of medication monitoring protocols for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Dr. Katherine McClanahan earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, she brings over 23 years of experience, practicing in multiple states, including Nevada, where she has resided since 2005. Outside of medicine, Dr. McClanahan enjoys exercising and watching classic movies.
Dr. Mohammed is a board-certified family physician with experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. He earned his medical degree from Avalon University School of Medicine. e completed his residency at Baptist Health Deaconess FM Residency in Madisonville, Kentucky, and also served as a core faculty physician at Baptist Health Deaconess FM Residency, where he taught and trained residents and medical students.
Dr. Carrie Mok is an internal medicine physician with almost 3 years of experience responding to codes in a large hospital setting. She is proficient in procedures such as central line placement and intubation and is comfortable teaching these skills to others. Dr. Mok earned her medical degree from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University and completed her residency at Huntington Memorial Hospital. She is a JeffMD Scholarly Inquiry with Distinction awardee and has presented research on pain medications and surgical patients’ perceptions of opioids.
Dr. Luis Armando Moreno is a product of Valley Health System Family Medicine Residency Program, brings a rich background in family and internal medicine from Nicaragua. After earning his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua, Dr. Moreno has been involved in various projects aimed at improving patient care and community health, particularly in under-resourced areas. His work includes developing maternal homes to decrease mortality and malnutrition and implementing quality improvement projects in Southern Nevada.
Dr. Navin Muliyil is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with extensive experience as a nocturnist hospitalist. He has been practicing as a nocturnist at Platinum Hospitalists for almost seven years, demonstrating his commitment to providing high-quality care during overnight hours. Dr. Muliyil earned his medical degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center. He has also served on medical committees and is a member of several professional organizations. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Muliyil has co-authored publications in the field of Type 2 Diabetes.
Dr. Zaid Naji is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who completed his residency at Moutainview Hospital via Sunrise Health GME Consortium. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Queensland School of Medicine – Ochsner Clinical School. During his training, Dr. Naji was involved in several committees, focusing on resident wellness and quality improvement in clinical practice. He is deeply committed to providing compassionate care and values direct patient contact as a crucial aspect of building trust and delivering effective healthcare. Outside the hospital, Dr Naji enjoys traveling the world, discovering new films and experiencing live music.
Dr. Gopi Narra is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician, who currently practices as a nocturnist. He earned his medical degree from WesternU-COMP in Southern California. He then completed his residency at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV, where he has been recognized for his leadership and dedication to improving resident wellbeing and educational standards. Dr. Narra has a strong background in research and community service, particularly in global health and underserved populations. In his free time, he enjoys running, hiking, and enjoying all the food and entertainment that Las Vegas has to offer.
Dr. Anthony Nguyen specializes in Internal Medicine and is board-certified in his field. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from VCOM-Auburn and residency training at Valley Hospital and brings five years of clinical experience to his role as a hospitalist. In his personal time, Dr. Nguyen enjoys playing badminton.
Dr. Holly Nguyen is a board-certified internal medicine physician who recently completed her residency at the UNLV School of Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University Nevada and has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, taking Lagree workout classes, and spending time with her three dogs.
Dr. Nam Nguyen is a board-certified internal medicine physician. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. After living in various locations, including Dominica, St. Kitts, Knoxville, Miami, Atlanta, and Detroit, Dr. Nguyen completed his Internal Medicine residency at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. Now, he resides between Las Vegas and Hawaii with his significant other and their two fluffy cats. His interests include cars, traveling, and exploring delicious foods.
Dr. Dozie Oparaugo has completed his internal medicine recidency at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he has gained extensive experience in treating complex clinical pathologies. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University with dual degrees in Osteopathic Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Oparaugo is known for his comprehensive approach to patient care, involving patients in treatment decisions and focusing on preventative measures to enhance overall health outcomes.
Dr. Daniel Ortolano is a board-certified internal medicine physician with experience as a hospitalist and internal medicine residency core faculty member. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his residency at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital, where he also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Ortolano has contributed to research in cardiology and rheumatology, presenting his work at multiple conferences. With a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care, Dr. Ortolano is dedicated to improving patient outcomes. Outside of medicine, he enjoys volunteering and exploring new outdoor activities.
She completed her medical training at Touro University Nevada and her residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Parekh also has experience as a physician reviewer for Livanta Appeals. She was elected to Sigma Sigma Phi-Pi Chapter Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and conversational Spanish.
