Her leadership extends to roles such as Physician Advisor at Centennial Hills Hospital and Utilization Director at Post Acute Medical Rehabilitation Hospital. Majeed, Mir, MD.

Being one of the Managing Partners of Platinum Hospitalists, Dr. Mir Asad Majeed has an extensive background in internal medicine, with a significant part of his career dedicated to hospital medicine across various healthcare facilities in Las Vegas. After earning his MBBS from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan, he completed his residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Majeed is also deeply involved in the medical community, having held a clinical assistant professorship at Southern Illinois University and actively participating in the development of medication monitoring protocols for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

McClanahan, Katherine, DO.

Dr. Katherine McClanahan earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, and completed her Internal Medicine residency at Doctors Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, she brings over 23 years of experience, practicing in multiple states, including Nevada, where she has resided since 2005. Dr. Carrie Mok is an internal medicine physician with almost 3 years of experience responding to codes in a large hospital setting. After earning his medical degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Nicaragua, Dr. Moreno has been involved in various projects aimed at improving patient care and community health, particularly in under-resourced areas. His work includes developing maternal homes to decrease mortality and malnutrition and implementing quality improvement projects in Southern Nevada.

Dr. Navin Muliyil is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with extensive experience as a nocturnist hospitalist. He has been practicing as a nocturnist at Platinum Hospitalists for almost seven years, demonstrating his commitment to providing high-quality care during overnight hours. Dr. Muliyil earned his medical degree from Midwestern University, Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center. He has also served on medical committees and is a member of several professional organizations. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Muliyil has co-authored publications in the field of Type 2 Diabetes.

Naji, Zaid, MD.

Dr. Zaid Naji is a board-certified Internal Medicine physician who completed his residency at Moutainview Hospital via Sunrise Health GME Consortium. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Queensland School of Medicine – Ochsner Clinical School. During his training, Dr. Naji was involved in several committees, focusing on resident wellness and quality improvement in clinical practice. Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Washington and his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. After living in various locations, including Dominica, St. Kitts, Knoxville, Miami, Atlanta, and Detroit, Dr. Nguyen completed his Internal Medicine residency at MountainView Hospital in Las Vegas. Now, he resides between Las Vegas and Hawaii with his significant other and their two fluffy cats. His interests include cars, traveling, and exploring delicious foods.

She began her career as a caregiver in an assisted living facility and later worked as a medical assistant while completing her associate degree in Nursing at the College of Southern Nevada. Nerissa earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Family Nurse Practice from Chamberlain University. As a registered nurse, she gained experience in med-telemetry as a relief charge nurse and later in ICU, caring for critically ill patients. Torres, John Ray, AGNP-C.

John Ray D. Torres is an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with 7 years of experience in healthcare. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in 2013 and his Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Global in 2019. Torres has worked as a Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente, Lake Mead Health and Rehabilitation, North Vista Hospital, and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Shivani Golden is a double board-certified Geriatrician who completed her Geriatrics & Administrative Fellowship at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she was named Chief Quality Fellow. Following her fellowship, she served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Hospital and was the Quality Director for a 500+ bed skilled nursing facility. She led various initiatives in this role, including coordinating the COVID treatment response during the 2021 wave of the pandemic, when anti-COVID treatments were scarce. Due to her efforts, nearly 100 patients received life-sustaining treatment that helped prevent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID. She is currently a nursing home Medical Director and full-time physician in Rehabilitation centers. She is a yearly guest speaker at national Post-Acute and Long Term Care conferences, where she lectures on the subject of Medical Director contracts with legal counsel. She is a firm believer in evidence based medicine as well as a patient-centered, holistic approach to care where the needs and desires of her patients come first. She is deeply passionate about nursing homes and strives to bring her knowledge and experience from her work in New York to Las Vegas.

Dr. Sheikh is a board-certified internal medicine physician with extensive experience in hospital medicine. He earned his medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine. He has worked as a hospitalist at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, Nevada for over 15 years. Dr. Sheikh also has experience in community medicine and healthcare. He previously worked as a technical consultant for Phenomenex Inc., where he consulted marketing and sales staff on technical parameters of pharmaceutical/synthetic protein method development. Dr. Sheikh also served as a teaching assistant in the Department of Biology at UCSD, where he lectured biology classes and conducted review lectures.

A graduate of Hebei Medical University in China, Dr. Yang has been recognized for his exceptional patient care, earning the prestigious Physician MVP award twice in 2019 at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas. He is passionate about providing compassionate and comprehensive care to geriatric patients in post-acute settings. In his free time, Dr. Yang enjoys swimming, playing tennis, and golfing.
