Golden, Daniel MD

Dr. Daniel Golden is an attending physician and associate director of quality and patient safety at Valley Health System’s Department of Emergency Medicine. He has held these positions since July 2022. He also worked as a clinical research manager and firefighter in New York. Dr. Golden completed his residency at New York-Presbyterian Cornell & Columbia University Hospitals and has a Doctor of Medicine degree. He has received numerous honors and awards, including the Outstanding Citizenship Award and the Quality Improvement Champion. Dr. Golden is a member of the MCIC Leadership Committee and the Weill Cornell Emergency Department Quality & Patient Safety Committee. He has also been involved in several quality improvement initiatives.

Wu, Wenwei MD

Dr. Wenwei Wu is a hospitalist with over 20 years of experience specializing in hospital medicine. She earned her medical degree from Shanghai Medical University and completed her Internal Medicine training at the University of Nevada, Reno. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Wu is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys traveling and baking.

Bhatia, Nauhar MD

Dr. Nauhar Bhatia is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and earned his medical degree from the Medical University of the Americas and has 9.5 years of healthcare experience, including 3 years in residency and 3 years at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Originally from Toronto and now based in the USA, Dr. Bhatia emphasizes preventive medicine, focusing on patient education and guidance in areas such as weight loss, smoking and alcohol cessation, exercise, nutrition, and mental health. Known for his excellent communication skills and ability to build strong rapport, he provides comprehensive, compassionate care to his patients. She completed her medical training at Touro University Nevada and her residency at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Parekh also has experience as a physician reviewer for Livanta Appeals. She was elected to Sigma Sigma Phi-Pi Chapter Honorary Osteopathic Service Fraternity and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and conversational Spanish.

De Asis, Chriscile MD

Dr. Chriscile De Asis is a board-certified internal medicine physician who completed her residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Dr. Babak Mahgerefteh is an internal medicine physician with over 13 years of experience. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency and internship at Valley Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Mahgerefteh has been board-certified in internal medicine since 2014. He served as an associate program director at Valley Hospital residency program for one year. Dr. Daphne L. Wong, a board-certified internist, completed her residency at Valley Hospital GME in Las Vegas, Nevada, and earned her Osteopathic medical degree from the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. She holds a Master’s in Biomedical Sciences from UMDNJ in New Jersey and a Bachelor of Science from UCSD, with research experience at UCLA. As a Nocturnist with Platinum Hospitalists, she serves the Las Vegas community across multiple hospitals. Alikozai, Farhad DO

Dr. Farhad Alikozai is an internal medicine physician who graduated from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He completed his residency at UNLV from 2018 to 2021 and has been practicing as an attending physician since 2021. During his residency, he served as a class representative and GME Space Utilization Committee member. Dr. Alikozai is an ACP poster competition finalist and has volunteered on medical missions in Guatemala and during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is fluent in intermediate Spanish and basic Farsi. Dr. Alikozai prioritizes clear communication with his patients and strives to explain medical conditions and treatment plans in simple terms. Haq, Ali MD

Dr. Ali Haq brings a rich blend of clinical acumen and a passion for teaching to his role as a hospitalist and GME attending physician. Originally from Pakistan and now based in Las Vegas, Dr. Haq completed his internal medicine residency at Rutgers Health, where he also served as Chief Resident. His dedication to medical education shines through his current role as a teaching attending, where he imparts critical skills to family medicine residents. Gubler, Jason Tyler DO

Dr. Gubler is a family medicine physician who has been practicing medicine since 2015. He completed his medical training at Touro University-Nevada and his residency at Chino Valley Medical Center. Dr. Shivani Golden is a double board-certified Geriatrician who completed her Geriatrics & Administrative Fellowship at Mount Sinai’s Icahn School of Medicine in New York City, where she was named Chief Quality Fellow. Following her fellowship, she served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU Langone Hospital and was the Quality Director for a 500+ bed skilled nursing facility. She led various initiatives in this role, including coordinating the COVID treatment response during the 2021 wave of the pandemic, when anti-COVID treatments were scarce. Due to her efforts, nearly 100 patients received life-sustaining treatment that helped prevent deaths and hospitalizations from COVID. She is currently a nursing home Medical Director and full-time physician in Rehabilitation centers. She is a yearly guest speaker at national Post-Acute and Long Term Care conferences, where she lectures on the subject of Medical Director contracts with legal counsel.
