Dr. Hossein Alex Akhondi-Asl, FACP, is a seasoned hospitalist and educator with over two decades of experience. He is the Founding Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency at Valley Health System, where he oversees academic programs and resident training. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Akhondi-Asl has authored over 93 publications and delivered more than 100 presentations. A recipient of numerous national awards, he is known for his leadership in clinical research and residency program development. Outside of medicine, Dr. Akhondi-Asl enjoys literature, MENSA puzzles, and advancing medical education.
